PRONOUNCED “CA-LEET”, short for “Carlito”…DJ Calyte The Teknition aka The Audio Architect started his dj career at the young age of 12.

Tagging along with his older cousin, who was also a dj, he became familiar with music…specifically freestyle, dance, and house. Unable to afford his own dj equipment, The Tek perfected his mixing skills practicing long hours in his room with 2 boomboxes…yea, that’s right-2 boomboxes and no mixer. Juggling between the play button and the pause button, The Tek would match the BPMs. The Tek would even do his grade school dances with his boomboxes and rocked it!! Once The Tek got older, he got his hands on his first dj setup. Throughout high school, DJ Calyte was known for doing sweet 16’s for the ladies and was even doing the higher classman’s proms and was still talkin to the crowd with his hands!! The Tek was making a name for himself in the South Jersey area. But, being from Philly he had to represent. DJ Calyte has nightclub experience as well. He’s spun @ Club 27 (Philly) along side DJ Excel (Skratch Makaniks) and DJ Sojo (Senate DJs), The Woodbine AKA Savoy (NJ), Fluid Nightclub (Philly), Plush Nightclub (Philly), 947 Bar/Grill (NJ), Club La Vigna (NJ), Club Skyy/Xtreme (Philly), Market West Gril (NJ), Roosevelt’s AKA Rt 1 AKA Redz Bar & Grill (Philly), D’Place (NJ), Azure Ultra Lounge (Philly), Latin Fusion (DE), Lavish (DE), Tierra Colombiana (Philly), Cuba Libre(Philly), The Missile Bar (AC). He was even privledged to DJ for Shawn’s (Boyz II Men) 30th birthday day celebration at the Cherry Hill NJ Skating Center. He was the resident dj at the legendary 6th St. Lounge in Camden NJ for 3 years. While at 6th St, DJ Calyte had the pleasure of working with Golden Boy and Skywalker from Power 99fm. The Tek has also joined forces several years ago with Kings of Clubs Entertainment as their resident dj spinning for many famous “Reggaeton” concerts & club events they’ve hosted, the biggest one being for Daddy Yankee. In early 2014, DJ Calyte teamed up with DJ Wreckless of Latin Connection Family to form the SupremeDJS Crew. Together, they released The Supreme Mixtape hosted by Mia Mendez of Hot 107.9 Philly. For over a year now, DJ Calyte has been an internet radio host on CacoteoRadio.com every Thursday night at 7:30pmET. His “In The Lab” Mixshow starts your weekend off early spinning Latin Fusion, HipHop, & House. DJ Calyte has also been a guest on UEradio (The 215 Exposure Show). DJ Calyte was also invited to represent NJ at the International DJ Cafe’s anniversary party in Delaware along side DJ Jay-Ski (Skratch Makaniks, Senate DJs).
