Evolution | Anthony Sojo's 2014 Promo Video

The 2014 promo captured an artist connecting everything he had learned. For Anthony Sojo, DJing, drumming, production, and live video remixing were parts of the same creative path.

From records to Studio Sojo

At seventeen, Sojo began developing his ear on Technics 1200 turntables. Working with two records opened a direction he continued to pursue through DJing and production.

He began producing house music at eighteen, drawing on the experience of recording as a drummer. His work later moved through hip-hop, R&B, and electronic dance music.

In New Jersey and Philadelphia, he built his identity as a performer and turned a garage into Studio Sojo, a place to develop ideas and continue that studio work.

A crew and a wider creative circle

The original biography connects the formation of The Senate DJs in 2010 with conversations and ideas shared with DJ Dramadik and producer D.R. Period. By the time of the 2014 promo, it described seven members from the tri-state area.

Taking video into the live set

Serato’s video capability, an Akai MPD, and Novation Dicers became part of Sojo’s performance setup. Those tools extended the possibilities of a live set, bringing his perspective as a producer into the way he manipulated sound and visuals.

Watch the original 2014 promo video for that chapter of the story. This feature preserves the career perspective recorded in September 2014.
