For The International DJ Casper, the story started at home. Known as “Cas,” he grew up around music and watched his older brothers bring home DJ equipment. By thirteen, he was following them into Philadelphia’s local DJ scene, playing neighborhood “Dollar Parties.”
“The Youngest in Charge”
As a teenager, Casper performed at Dances, a young-adult club where he earned that nickname. His original biography credits Bobby “Dance” McLean and Christopher “Redz” Wayman with recognizing him as Best Club DJ.
From that starting point, he expanded into clubs, college tours, competitions, and guest radio appearances across Philadelphia and the tri-state area.
From local rooms to international touring
In 2001, Casper toured with Eddie “Hustle” Clement, also known as Butter, and Gerald Levert on the Live Vibe Tour, traveling to Europe and South America. His biography also records opening appearances for Akon, Ryan Leslie, Young Jeezy, Omarion, Busta Rhymes, and Diddy.
Building a production career
Mixing and beat juggling led Casper toward creating the music he played. In 2004, he contributed six tracks to Ski Trippin Da Movie. In 2007, he launched Caspaws Music Group, his independent label.
A 2010 credit followed alongside Steve “Mr. Mig” Migliore and Mike Rizzo for the dance remix of Usher’s “Lil’ Freak.” In 2011, he secured a TV and film music production deal with BlazedOut INC.
The DarkChild chapter
In 2012, Casper connected with DarkChild A&R Terry “Buzz” Brown. Later that year, he signed with Rodney “DarkChild” Jerkins as the DJ for DarkChild Records.
This May 2015 welcome preserves that career history at the time he joined The Senate DJs. Explore his current Senate profile for the music and information he shares today.
